Shcherbatov apartment house

The Shcherbatov apartment house, located on Novinsky Boulevard in the heart of Moscow, is a stunning example of neoclassical architecture, built between 1911 and 1913 by architect A. I. Tamanyan. This historic building, recognized as a cultural heritage site of Federal importance, features an H-shaped design with rich decorations, including Corinthian colonnades and intricate bas-reliefs. Originally intended to house a museum of private collections, it became a gathering place for notable writers and artists. After the October Revolution, it was repurposed for workers and later transformed into a clinic. Today, it accommodates residential apartments and offices, offering a glimpse into Moscow's architectural and cultural history.
