King's House, Jamaica

King's House, also known as Government House, serves as the official residence of the governor-general of Jamaica in Kingston. Originally established in 1690, it has undergone several reconstructions due to disasters, including an earthquake in 1907 and a fire in 1908. The current structure, designed by Sir Charles Nicholson, retains historical significance and is used for state functions, including the swearing-in of government ministers and judges.
