Colcord Building - early reinforced-concrete skyscraper

The Colcord Building, opened in 1910 and now operating as the Colcord Hotel, is widely regarded as Oklahoma City's first skyscraper and an early regional example of reinforced-concrete construction. Its construction used early reinforced-concrete and steel-frame techniques that were uncommon in the region at the time. The building has been preserved and continues to occupy its original downtown site.
