Heidelberg Project

The Heidelberg Project is an outdoor community art installation on Heidelberg Street in the McDougall-Hunt neighborhood, begun by artist Tyree Guyton in 1986 using painted houses and found-object sculptures. It has drawn national attention as an example of grassroots public art and community revitalization, while also facing periodic removal of structures and local controversy. The project operates as a nonprofit and continues to host installations and public events.
