Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum

The Memphis Rock 'n' Soul Museum, created by the Smithsonian Institution, opened in 2000 to document the musical pioneers who created rock and soul music in Memphis and the surrounding region. Its exhibits trace the development of local music traditions and feature artifacts, recordings, and oral histories tied to the city's recording studios and performers. The museum is located on Beale Street near other music-related historic sites.
