Faridkot House, Lahore

Faridkot House was a historic residence in Lahore, Punjab, originally owned by William Kirke and later acquired by the Raja of Faridkot, a princely state in India. The building, notable for its blend of Mughal and Western architectural styles, featured a grand entrance with a multi-foiled arch and extensive gardens filled with exotic trees. It served as a venue for significant events, including the 1918 conference of Indian Mohammedan Ladies, which brought together delegates from various regions. After the Partition of India in 1947, it was repurposed by the Evacuee Property Board but fell into disrepair and was eventually demolished. Today, it stands as a reminder of Lahore's rich history and architectural heritage.
