Faneuil Hall - meeting site for pre-war mobilization

Faneuil Hall served as a public meeting place in the 1760s and 1770s where colonial leaders, including Samuel Adams, spoke and organized resistance to British policies, helping to mobilize public opinion before the Revolutionary War. The hall hosted debates and rallies that contributed to the political climate that produced the opening battles of the conflict. Today Faneuil Hall remains a historic building and museum interpreting its role in the events leading up to armed confrontation.
