Collegium Maius, Kraków

The Collegium Maius, the oldest building of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, dates back to the 14th century and is located near the Main Square in the historic Old Town. This architectural gem features a late-Gothic structure with a large courtyard and has been meticulously restored to reflect its original appearance. It houses the Jagiellonian University Museum, showcasing a rich collection of medieval scientific instruments, art, and historical artifacts, including the famous Jagiellonian globe. Notably, it was once attended by Nicolaus Copernicus, marking its significance in the history of education and science in Poland.
