Portsmouth Guildhall

Portsmouth Guildhall is a historic multi-use building located in the heart of Portsmouth, Hampshire, England. Originally opened in 1890 as Portsmouth Town Hall, it was heavily damaged during World War II and rebuilt in the 1950s. The building features stunning Neo-classical architecture, including a prominent bell tower with five bells known as The Pompey Chimes. Today, it serves as a vibrant venue for concerts, weddings, and conferences, with a capacity of up to 2,500 people. The Guildhall is surrounded by Guildhall Square, which includes notable landmarks such as a statue of Queen Victoria and the city war memorial, making it a significant cultural hub for both tourists and researchers.
