Jacobs–Wilson House

The Jacobs–Wilson House, also known as Tabor Swiss Chalet, is a historic Swiss Chalet-style residence located in Portland, Oregon. Constructed in 1913, this two-and-a-half-story wood-frame house sits on a native stone foundation and was the first home built on Thorburn Avenue, contributing to the development of a charming residential neighborhood on the west slope of Mt. Tabor. With its expansive views of the Willamette River valley and Portland's west hills, the house reflects architectural influences from Switzerland, fulfilling a request from Bolina Jacobs to her son Frederick Alva Jacobs. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981, making it a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in Portland's architectural history.
