Union Station - railroad telegraph and communications hub

Union Station opened in 1900 as the Louisville & Nashville (L&N) Railroad's main passenger terminal in Nashville. The station included telegraph, ticketing, and dispatching facilities that were central to railroad communications and operations in the early 20th century. Its design and preserved interior elements reflect the technological and logistical infrastructure of rail travel and communication from that era. The building has been repurposed as a hotel while retaining historic architectural and communicative features.
