Bennett Building (Council Bluffs, Iowa)

The Bennett Building, also known as the Ervin Building, is a historic seven-story structure in downtown Council Bluffs, Iowa, originally built in 1923 to attract medical professionals. Once the tallest building in the area, it features a distinctive Early Commercial architectural style with a limestone base and brick upper floors. Historically, it housed many medical offices, including those of several women doctors. Today, the building has been converted into apartments and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, making it a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in local history and architecture.
