Gould Memorial Library

The Gould Memorial Library, located on the Bronx Community College campus in New York City, is a historic building designed by renowned architect Stanford White. Constructed between 1895 and 1900, it originally served as the central library for New York University's Bronx campus and is named after railroad magnate Jay Gould. The library features a stunning Greek cross design, a Corinthian-style portico, and an ornate interior with Tiffany glass windows and a coffered ceiling. Although it is no longer used as a library, it is a designated landmark and serves as an event space. Visitors can enjoy its architectural beauty and the adjacent Hall of Fame for Great Americans, which honors notable figures in American history.
