Flawn Academic Center

The Peter T. Flawn Academic Center, located at the University of Texas at Austin, is a unique undergraduate library and technology hub that opened in the 1960s. Named after former university president Peter T. Flawn, it features the first open-stack library for undergraduates on campus. Visitors can explore the Leeds Gallery, which includes a re-creation of Erle Stanley Gardner's study and Charles Umlauf's sculpture, The Torchbearers. The center has evolved to include modern amenities such as desktop computers, laptops for checkout, and a multimedia studio, making it a vibrant space for collaboration and study. Additionally, it serves as a student voting site during elections, reflecting its role in the campus community.
