Pueblo Grande Museum and Archaeological Park (Hohokam ceremonial mound)
By Seeker
Pueblo Grande preserves a Hohokam platform mound and associated village features dating roughly from 450–1450 CE. Archaeologists interpret the platform mound and nearby ballcourt as focal points for communal and ceremonial activities, though exact ritual meanings are inferred from artifacts and site layout and remain debated. The onsite museum displays recovered ceremonial objects, pottery, and exhibits explaining Hohokam social and ritual life.
