George Washington House (Barbados)

George Washington House is a historic site in Bridgetown, Barbados, where George Washington is said to have stayed in 1751 during a trip with his half-brother. Although the authenticity of the house as his residence is debated among historians, it remains a significant landmark. Washington contracted smallpox during his visit and was cared for at the house. In 1997, a plaque was unveiled by First Lady Hillary Clinton to commemorate this connection.
