Fernández Anchorena Palace

The Fernández Anchorena Palace, located in the elegant Recoleta district of Buenos Aires, is a stunning example of Second Empire architecture, designed by French Argentine architect Eduardo Le Monnier in 1907. Although it was never inhabited by its original owners, Juan Antonio Fernández and Rosa de Anchorena, the palace has a rich history, serving as a social venue and even the official residence of President Marcelo Torcuato de Alvear from 1922 to 1928. In 1947, it was bequeathed to the Holy See and now functions as the Apostolic Nunciature in Argentina, making it a site of both historical and religious significance for visitors.
