Decorah Municipal Bathhouse and Swimming Pool

The Decorah Municipal Bathhouse and Swimming Pool, designed by Edward Novak in the Art Moderne and International Style, is a historic site in Decorah, Iowa. Built through a collaboration between the local government and the Works Progress Administration, it stands as a testament to community effort, with construction supervised by the Fred Carlson Company and local unemployed men hired as laborers. Notably, it is the only remaining building of its style and significance from WPA projects in Iowa, earning its place on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.
