King County Courthouse

The King County Courthouse was completed in 1916 and serves as the primary courthouse for King County. The building exhibits neoclassical design elements, including a formal symmetrical facade and classical detailing. Over its history the courthouse has undergone seismic retrofits and interior renovations to preserve its historic fabric while meeting modern requirements. It remains a central example of early 20th-century civic architecture in downtown Seattle.
