Yorba Hacienda

The Yorba Hacienda, located in Yorba Linda, California, is a historic site that was once the largest adobe hacienda in Alta California. Built in 1835 by Bernardo Yorba, it featured an impressive two-story structure with around 200 rooms, showcasing the wealth and influence of the Yorba family. The site served as a center of activity during the Mexican era, hosting notable figures like Governor Manuel Micheltorena and General Stephen W. Kearny. The hacienda included various trades and services, employing many local Gabrieleño Indians. Although the structure was demolished in 1926, a historical marker now commemorates its significance, making it a point of interest for tourists and researchers alike.
