Stardust Resort and Casino (former Strip landmark)

The Stardust opened on the Las Vegas Strip in 1958 and became famous for its large neon signage and extensive casino operations. The resort closed in 2006 and its structures were demolished in 2007 as part of a redevelopment effort for that portion of the Strip. The Stardust is frequently cited in histories of postwar Las Vegas casino expansion and signage culture.
