Murray's Cabaret Club

Murray's Cabaret Club, located in Soho, London, was a vibrant cabaret venue from 1913 to 1975, known for its glamorous showgirls and rich history intertwined with the infamous Profumo affair. Originally opened by Jack Mays and Ernest A. Cordell, the club featured a mix of entertainment including dancing, fashion parades, and live music, attracting a wealthy clientele. It hosted notable performers like Gertrude Lawrence and adapted to musical trends over the decades. After a series of renovations and changes in ownership, it closed its doors in 1975. Today, the site is home to a restaurant called 'Mountain,' run by Michelin-starred chef Tomos Parry, while the club's legacy continues to be celebrated through exhibitions highlighting its cultural impact.
