National Museum of Women in the Arts

The National Museum of Women in the Arts at 1250 New York Ave NW opened in 1987 and is the only major museum in the world solely dedicated to women artists. Its collection spans works from the Renaissance to the present, including paintings, sculptures, prints, and works on paper. The museum is housed in a renovated early-20th-century building and hosts rotating exhibitions, educational programs, and public events.
