Palais Bretzenheim

The Palais Bretzenheim is a significant historical building in Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg, constructed between 1781 and 1788 by architect Peter Anton von Verschaffelt. Located near the University of Mannheim, it originally served as a residence for the children of Charles Theodore, Elector of Bavaria, and famously hosted Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The building features an impressive facade with 21 windows and three floors, including a distinctive bulged center with a balcony. Today, it houses parts of the district court Mannheim, making it a blend of historical significance and contemporary function.
