Yongcheng Theater

The Yongcheng Theater, located in Yanshui District, Tainan, Taiwan, has a rich history dating back to its original construction as a rice mill during Japanese rule. After World War II, it transitioned into a theater, becoming a cultural hub for the local community by showcasing films and performances. Although it closed in 2000, the theater was renovated by the Tainan City Government and reopened for movie screenings. Visitors can appreciate its unique architecture and art installations, and it has also served as a venue for events like the Yue Jin Lantern Festival.
