Zante Plantation

Zante Plantation was a historic house located near Fort Motte in South Carolina, built around 1815. This 2+1⁄2-story frame structure featured Federal architectural details and had a notable stucco-over-brick foundation. The property included original outbuildings and was home to several prominent figures in South Carolina's history, dating back to the late-18th century. Unfortunately, due to neglect and vandalism, the plantation fell into severe disrepair and was demolished in 2016. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976 but was delisted in 2025.
