Yards Park waterfront and tidal basin boardwalk

Yards Park opened as part of the Navy Yard waterfront redevelopment and features a riverwalk, pedestrian bridge, and a shallow seasonal water feature where people often wade in warm months. The park includes an LED-lit boardwalk, open lawn for concerts and festivals, and is a frequent gathering spot for residents of the Navy Yard and Capitol Riverfront neighborhoods. It opened to the public as part of the broader Yards development in the 2010s and is managed by the District and local developers.
