Alvah Washington Townley Farmstead Historic District

The Alvah Washington Townley Farmstead Historic District, also known as the Osage County Museum, is a captivating historic site located in Chamois, Missouri. This national historic district features five significant buildings, including a charming two-story I-house from around 1856, showcasing modest Greek Revival architecture. Visitors can explore a smokehouse, multipurpose barn, wood and machine shed, and a unique combination poultry house, outhouse, and storage shed, all dating back to the late 19th century.
