Church Quarter

Church Quarter is a historic log dwelling located in Doswell, Hanover County, Virginia, built in 1843. This one-story, three-bay home features exposed logs with V-notching and two exterior end chimneys. The property also includes late-19th to early-20th century outbuildings and the ruins of a brick orangery, known as the flower house. Purchased by the Scotchtown Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution in 1969, Church Quarter has been restored and serves as a meeting house. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in American history and architecture.
