Meridian Health Plan Headquarters

The Meridian Health Plan Headquarters was a proposed 16-story skyscraper in downtown Detroit's Campus Martius district, designed to house the Meridian Health Plan as its sole tenant. The development aimed to provide 300,000 square feet of office space, retail outlets on the ground floor, and a 1,000-space parking deck. Unique architectural features included a 'floating box' for a restaurant and a levitating belt of ivy connecting various elements of the site. Although the project was set to enhance the area and accommodate a growing workforce, it remains a notable example of urban development plans in Detroit.
