Newnham Grange

Newnham Grange is a historic Grade II listed house located on Silver Street in Cambridge, England, adjacent to the picturesque River Cam and The Backs. Built in 1793 for local merchant Patrick Beales, the house has a rich history, having been remodeled by the Darwin family in 1885. Notable residents include artist Gwen Raverat and physicist Charles Galton Darwin. After serving as a family home, it was donated to establish Darwin College in 1964. The house is featured in Raverat's memoir 'Period Piece' and has a Blue Plaque commemorating her legacy, making it a point of interest for tourists and researchers alike.
