Magnolia Plantation (Schriever, Louisiana)

Magnolia Plantation, established in 1858, is a historic sugarcane plantation located just south of Schriever, Louisiana, and west of New Orleans. It is one of the few remaining Greek Revival plantation houses in the area and played a significant role in the antebellum economy of Terrebonne Parish. The plantation gained further recognition as a filming location for the movie '12 Years a Slave' and was featured in a paranormal investigation on the Travel Channel's 'Ghost Brothers.' It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, making it a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in Louisiana's rich history.
