Spreckels Theatre (downtown San Diego)

Spreckels Theatre was built by John D. Spreckels and opened in 1912 as a downtown San Diego vaudeville and performance house. Throughout the 20th century it presented touring theatrical productions, musical performances, and later hosted concerts and civic events as part of the city’s performing-arts history. The historic theater remains a recognized landmark in downtown San Diego's cultural landscape.
