McCabe Building (Victoria, Texas)

The McCabe Building, constructed in 1908, is a historic two-story frame commercial structure located in Victoria, Texas. Originally operated as a grocery business by J. H. McCabe, it showcases early 20th-century architecture and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. In 2013, the neighboring Wholesale Tire Company acquired the property but found the building structurally unsound, leading to plans for its demolition. This site represents a piece of local history and the challenges of preserving historic structures.
