Mount Bonnell (Covert Park)

Mount Bonnell, officially Covert Park, is a limestone overlook above Lady Bird Lake (the Colorado River) that has been a popular scenic viewpoint and picnic spot since the 19th century. The site is one of the highest publicly accessible points in the Austin area and provides panoramic views of the river, the downtown skyline, and surrounding hills. It is managed as a City of Austin park with a short stair climb from the parking area to the overlook.
