Huang Family Historical Residence

The Huang Family Historical Residence, located in Ganpu Village, Linyuan District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, is a remarkable example of southern Fujian architectural style. Built in 1834 by the Huang family, who migrated from Fujian, this historical house spans five hectares and features five halls with an intricate layout of wings. After suffering damage from Typhoon Thelma in 1977, it underwent significant renovations and was declared a historical building in 2003. Opened to the public in 2016, it offers visitors a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage and architectural development of the region.
