Easton House

Easton House, also known as the Bachmann Publick House, is a historic inn and tavern located in Easton, Pennsylvania. Built in 1753 in the Georgian style, this 2 3/4 story limestone building was expanded by George Taylor in 1765 and served as both a residence and tavern. Notably, it hosted important judicial proceedings as the site of the Magistrates Court in the early 19th century. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 and is currently maintained by the Northampton County Historical & Genealogical Society, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in American history.
