Bowyer Block

Bowyer Block is a historic building in Singapore, originally constructed in 1926 as the main administration building for the Singapore General Hospital. Notable for its impressive Colossal Tuscan columns and a prominent clock tower, it has a rich history tied to World War II, being named after John Herbert Bowyer, a Chief Medical Officer tortured during the Japanese occupation. Today, it houses the Singapore General Hospital Museum, showcasing the hospital's history and medical advancements. The building was designated a National Monument in 2009, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in Singapore's medical heritage.
