Taşhan, Mut

Taşhan is a historical caravanserai located in the Mut district of Mersin Province, Turkey, built between 1723 and 1725 by Ottoman governor Hacı Sunullah Pasha. Originally serving as a resting place for caravans, it later transformed into a local bazaar. After being inactive for 30 years, it was revitalized in 2020 as a Producer Women’s market, promoting local artisans and products. The reopening ceremony was attended by notable figures, including the mayors of Mersin and Mut, making it a significant cultural site for visitors interested in history and local commerce.
