Federal Home Loan Bank Board Building

The Federal Home Loan Bank Board Building, located in Downtown Washington, D.C., is a historic site listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 2007. Originally constructed for the Acacia Mutual Insurance Company in 1869, the building became the Federal Home Loan Bank Board's headquarters in 1934 as part of a New Deal initiative to promote home ownership. Designed by architect George E.
