Lentz–Carter Merchandise Store

The Lentz–Carter Merchandise Store, built in 1890, is a historic general store located in Stella, Missouri. This two-story clapboard building, measuring approximately 60 by 22 feet, features a well-preserved original storefront and sits on a limestone foundation beneath a gable roof. As the oldest standing building in Stella, it offers a glimpse into the architectural and commercial history of the area. The store was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008, making it an interesting stop for tourists and researchers alike.
