1430 K Street

1430 K Street is a notable high-rise building in Washington, D.C., completed in 2006. Standing at 150 feet with 12 floors, it was the first office building in downtown D.C. to be sold entirely as a condominium. The building houses various non-profit organizations and lobbying groups, including the American Educational Research Association and the American Sociological Association, which have transitioned from older brownstone townhouses to this modern office space. Designed by Alkridge in a post-modern style, the site was previously occupied by two older buildings that were demolished for its construction.
