McKinney Falls State Park

McKinney Falls State Park preserves Onion Creek and the limestone falls and outcrops that give the site its name, and it contains the ruins and remnants of the McKinney family homestead. The park is interpreted for both its natural and historical features, including early settler-era foundations and trails that access the falls. Civilian Conservation Corps-era improvements are evident in parts of the park’s infrastructure. The park is operated by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department as a public historic and recreational site.
