Carnegie Camp North Point

Carnegie Camp North Point, located on the northern shore of Raquette Lake in New York's Adirondack Park, is one of the original Great Camps built during the Gilded Age for the wealthy. Designed by architect Kirtland Cutter for Lucy C. Carnegie, sister-in-law of Andrew Carnegie, the camp features notable structures such as the Assembly Hall and Dining Hall, completed in 1903. After serving the Carnegie family until 1916, it transitioned into a commercial vacation destination in the 1920s, becoming The North Point Inn and later The North Point Club. Today, the historic buildings are maintained as a private residence, offering a glimpse into the luxurious summer retreats of the past.
