Roberts–Carter House

The Roberts–Carter House, located near Gatesville in Gates County, North Carolina, was a historic home built around 1830, showcasing Federal architectural style with a side-hall plan. It underwent significant remodeling in the 1860s, incorporating Greek Revival elements such as double-tier porticos. The property also featured a kitchen from circa 1900 and a smokehouse. Although it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, the house was tragically destroyed by a tornado the same year, marking the end of its historical significance.
