Nye Block

The Nye Block, also known as the Johnson Landmark Building, was a historic commercial structure located at the intersection of Main and Railroad Streets in Johnson, Vermont. Built in 1868, it showcased exquisite Second Empire architecture and was the tallest building in the town center. The building featured a distinctive mansard roof and ornate detailing, making it a significant landmark until its destruction by arson in 1986. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977, highlighting its historical and architectural importance.
