Guardian Building - Art Deco landmark

The Guardian Building at this address was completed in 1929 and designed by architect Wirt C. Rowland as an Art Deco skyscraper and banking headquarters. Its richly decorated lobby features extensive tilework, murals, and decorative motifs, including tiles produced by local studios. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and remains an iconic element of Detroit's Financial District. It continues to house offices and public spaces.
