Bloody Bastion

The Bloody Bastion, also known as Khooni Burj, is a historic fortification located in the old City Wall of Multan, Pakistan. This site, situated between Pak Gate and Delhi Gate, is a remnant of the city's fortifications destroyed by the British in 1849. It is steeped in history, with traditions linking it to Alexander the Great, who is said to have been injured nearby during his invasion. The bastion gained its name due to the violent events that transpired there, including the burial of two British emissaries murdered by Sikh rebels and fierce battles during the Siege of Multan.
