Telefónica Building

The Telefónica Building, located at Gran Via 28 in Madrid, is a historic skyscraper that was once the tallest in Europe. Completed in 1929, it features a unique blend of American architectural inspiration and Madrid Baroque ornamentation. During the Spanish Civil War, it served as an observatory for Republican forces and was a hub for foreign press reporting. Today, it houses the Telefónica Foundation, a Telecommunications Museum, and an auditorium, hosting various art events and talks by notable creators. The building's iconic clock, now blue, remains a prominent feature of the Madrid skyline.
