Buena Vista County Courthouse (Iowa)

The Buena Vista County Courthouse, located in Storm Lake, Iowa, is a striking example of Modern architecture, completed in 1972. This courthouse is the fourth building serving the county's judicial and administrative needs, reflecting a rich history that dates back to the county's establishment in 1851. Initially, court functions were held in private homes and a schoolhouse after the first courthouse in Sioux Rapids was destroyed by fire in 1877.
